Weekly Forecast 01/21/18 - 01/27/18
Welcome to Aquarius season!
Uranus rules Aquarius so things can get a little eclectic, a little...weird, a little outside the norm. This week's message, however, is brought to you, once again, by Saturn! Saturn is like the Emperor, he likes structure, he likes rules and to do things right the first time. His motto is: Anything worth doing is worth doing right!
The cards back this message a thousand percent this week.
This week, take some time to look at the things you've put your energy into. What have you been working on? Have you been thinking about taking a class or doing research on something you've wanted to study and put into practice in your every day life?
The Eight of Pentacles reminds us that slow and steady wins the race, the more you work on your craft, the more you put in the time and energy into what you enjoy, what you love, what you want to see grow, the more it will take root. When we plant seeds, we don't just assume that we don't have to do anything to help them along, do we? We know they need water, the proper soil, and enough sunshine. We take care of them because we want to see them bloom. So, think about that thing you have that you want to see take root and grow bigger. Are you going to ignore it, and put it on the back burner forever? Are you going to just water it sometimes, when you notice it's withering, are you going to put your time into everything else BUT that thing? How badly do you want this dream to come true? How much are you willing to put in and what are you willing to do for it? The Eight of Pentacles asks you to keep working, keep pushing, that if this is really worth it to you, if it's really something you desire, you will put the work in for it and it will pay off. If it's not really something you want anymore, that's ok too! It's just time for you to put that energy into something you DO want, a dream that does mean something to you.
The Knight of Pentacles reinforces the Eight's message. He says, put that work in if you want to see those results. You can't sit around wishing for it to happen, it won't happen that way. You can't wait for someone to just offer you the solution, you have to find it on your own. The Knight of Pentacles doesn't rush anything. He's methodical, and almost annoyingly so. But he never fails to achieve the goal, he never gives up on what is important and he understands the value of hard work. He knows that time is a constraint we place on things, we work in timelines, but there are things we can't possibly plan for, things that come out of left field and set us back a little bit. Don't give up, even if you have put yourself on a time limit. There are things that come to set us back, or block our path for a reason. You need to ask yourself whether or not you're willing to work through the struggles, work through the blocks, or are you just going to turn and walk away?
Sometimes those obstacles pop up to show us an easier way, to show us a different way, to let us know how strong we are. Keep true to yourself, you don't need to concern yourself with how fast anyone else is getting through the path. This isn't a race, comparison doesn't do you any favors, nor will it help propel you forwards, so keep your mind on your own journey and worry about what you need to get done.
There will be times on your journey where you are just to close to your situation, too involved in your troubles, trying to fix or solve something. It's ok to take a break, to step back, to focus on something else for a while. It doesn't mean you're calling it quits, or that you've been defeated, it just means that you need to give yourself the space to shift your perspective. Think about it this way, the more you try to force something, the more chance of it falling apart there is. You know how sometimes you're trying to force something open or closed and it breaks, or even worse, nothing happens and your hurt your hands in the process? This is the Four of Swords saying, wait. Give it a moment. The time is coming but don't force it to arrive sooner. When we get angry or frustrated or upset, it's hard to get out of that space...we want to keep picking at it, we can't let it go. We know we'll probably end up feeling better if we just got up and did something else, if we changed the topic. There will be times when we need to talk our problems out and there will be times where we just need to let things go, wait it out until the time is right, wait until we find the solution...it might take an hour, or a day, it might take a week. The Four of Swords is just a reminder that we can't make it ALL happen RIGHT now. There are just some things that we need to let marinate and brew before we are able to move forwards.
Don't forget to ask for help. I know that we think we can do everything on our own 100% of the time and we don't need anyone else, but the truth is...no one can do it all, by themselves, 100% of the time. No one. No matter how great at time management or organization you may be, there will still be times when you need help. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. There is nothing wrong with working together with someone on something. You never know, it might make the project more fun! The other person may have some perspective you didn't see before, or a talent that you just don't have much experience in. Make it a game! Work out some fantasies! Who would you absolutely LOVE to work with on a project? Is there another business or shop that you would love to see your products in? Is there someone you admire that you'd love to talk to about your brand or product, someone that might even be a mentor? When we help each other, we lift one another up. When we help each other, we each grow. When we ask for help, when we give help. If 'help' is the word that's doing you in...think of it this way...it's CO-CREATION.
Who would you like to co-create with?
Who would you like to be inspired by?
Who would you like to make magic with?
Perspective is key. Especially when we are creating our gorgeous futures.
