Weekly Forecast 4/29/18 - 05/05/18
So, Saturn and Pluto retrograde are really showing us our business, just about everyone I've interacted with the past week has told me how funky they're feeling. And with good reason!
We're taking a look into the depths of things right now, we're being called out on our structures and foundations and rules and routines, we're looking head on at our shadow....and some of us aren't liking what we see. There isn't anything wrong with that, for the record, shadow work isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's painful and messy, but it's necessary for our healing, it's necessary for us to realize where we can heal and grow.
So, especially with this full moon in Scorpio, take this week to examine those nooks and crannies in your shadow, break down your rules and structures and foundations and see where things are rotting away and where you need to make some adjustments or do some overhauling. After all, that's what these retrograde periods are for, reflection...rejuvenation...reorganization...it's a time when we should be taking stock of where we are and then realigning with our true path if we've managed to veer off course, or adjusting to something completely different. It's a time to look at what we've been doing and see how and where we can do better or differently so that we are on course with where WE want to be, because it's easy to maneuver off our track when we're doing things other people expect us to.
The King of Wands reminds us we need to take fucking charge of our lives. Our passions, desires and love are important. The things we want from this life are important. The dreams we have are important. The goals we want to achieve are important.
But we live in a time where we're told that the only thing that is important is the steady paycheck, is settling "until you find something you like better"...I'm not saying this is wrong, we have all done this or are doing this but is it really all we're here for? To settle? To let others dictate every move we make? To be molded and manipulated to fit into someone else's idea of what's right or what's good?
Or are we here for more? Are we here to live life the way we choose, aren't we each creating out own reality?
Aren't we here to live our lives to the fullest (whatever that means to each of us), aren't we here to explore and love, and discover and learn?
Take control of your life, your reality, your feelings, your actions, your beliefs. If you don't, someone else will...and really, be honest, is that something you want?
That isn't a judgement, it's a true questions...is that really something that you want? For someone else to call the shots in your life?
This card has come up A LOT the past two weeks, almost in every reading I've done, and the Hanged Man will not be ignored.
It's really time to open your mind. To change your perspective, to stop holding on so tightly to the limitations we set for ourselves. Why do we hold onto them so tightly? Why do we treat them as if our lives depend on them? We hold ourselves back from living, from doing things we really want to do, from relationships, from believing, from so many things, because we just can't fathom letting go of our limitations, we can't imagine what it would be like to not believe what we believe and at the same time we're also very quick to believe what other's have to say and treat it as gospel!
Where can you change your perspective, though? Where are you limiting yourself? Where do you believe that things can't be different? Where do you believe things "have" to be a struggle? Where do you believe that you are only capable of certain things?
Let's try flipping those beliefs on their heads, shall we?
Let's try broadening the scope of what we believe.
Let's try letting go of our limitations for just a moment to see what else is out there for us.
There are so many things we "know" to be "truth", but are they?
Are we so set in our ways that there is NO other way?
Are we so set on our resistance that we can't allow for flow?
It's all up to each of us to decide.
Take a pause.
Look around for a moment and see where you are.
Do you like it?
Do you feel like it's where you're supposed to be?
Does it feel right to you, truly?
The Eight of Pentacles asks us to keep working on what is true to us, it asks us to keep honing our skills. It says keep going, keep trying, you've got this, no matter what.
When a spider builds a miraculous web, it takes great effort and time and energy...does that spider give up though when something happens to destroy her web?
Does she throw her little legs up and say, I've had it! I will never build another fucking web again! Bastards keep ruining my fucking web!
Well, maybe that's what the spider is thinking but it certainly isn't what the spider does, right? It builds another fucking web!
Maybe in a different location, maybe in a different pattern, maybe a little bigger or smaller, but it does it.
Don't give up. Sometimes we don't get what we want on the first try, but if it's really something you want, isn't it worth it to try again? Or do you maybe not want it that bad and so you're ready to give up because, deep down, you know it isn't what you genuinely want.
Either way, be honest with yourself so that you can spend your time and energy on the things you want to spend them on.
Sometimes we hit a rough patch, it's not because we're being punished, or because it's karma or because a higher power is fucking with us. It's because we're being directed to focus on something else...the core of things.
Yes, we can take on all things, we can grab every single opportunity, we can take every job, we can stay out late every night and get up early every morning, but does that work for you?
Does it work to have no boundaries? Does it work to carry all of the load?
Does it work to not delegate? Does it work to manipulate?
We carry a lot of expectations with us, we load ourselves up, sometimes because we think we have to, because we have all these other people counting on us...
And that pile of expectations becomes heavier, and bigger, until we can hardly move...
It's ok to set some of that load down, you know?
It's ok to say, hey, this doesn't belong to me, and I can't keep carrying it
It's ok to release
Its' ok to say no
It's ok to set boundaries
When you think about it, some of the people who are handing you the expectation or the workload often have huge boundaries, ones that we don't even think to question...ones they didn't even have to relay to us because we can see it, we can feel it.
So, why aren't we doing that for ourselves as well?
Burn out is the product of shouldering too much
Can you make it to the finish line carrying a whole ton of bricks? Sure you can, you're determined...but could you get there quicker if you just let go of some of those bricks that don't belong to you or that you don't want anymore?
The choice is always ours. Some of us feel beholden to others expectations, some of us feel like we can't say no, that we need permission for everything, until we reach the point of realization.
Until we come to the for in the road where we must ask ourselves if what we have been doing is worth it to keep up, or if there is a better way.
If you'd like a personal retrograde reading (we cover how Saturn and Pluto retrograde are showing you where to level up!) I'm still offering them, just shoot me a message.
Also, the sale on the Arcana is going on through 5/1!
